Adnan Amin, is a Lecturer at the Centre of Excellence in Information Technology, Institute of Management Sciences, (IMSciences), Peshawar, Pakistan. He received his M.Sc. (Computer Science, 2008) from the University of Peshawar, Pakistan, and MS Research degree (Computer Science, 2015) with distinction (Gold Medal) from IMSciences. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. research in Data mining/Machine Learning at the Centre of Excellence in Information Technology, IMSciences. Previously, he was working for Maxwell Stamp PLC (London) as an international consultant for curricular and academic development activities for the School of ICT, National Institute of Management and Administration affiliated with the University of Jyvaskyla, Finland under the World Bank-funded project (P102573).
Adnan Amin is a leading expert in Data mining, Machine learning, and data science. His research interests are cross-disciplinary and mostly applied industry-oriented include: Churn prediction, Prudent based expert systems, customer analytics & target marketing, Active & adaptive learning, real-time classification and segmentation, Cyber Security, Rough set theory, Ripple down learning, Oversampling, Cognitive Skills, and big data analytics. He has been a track chair of the WorldCist’21 workshop (LCBUDAMLT) and a program committee member in numerous conferences such as WorldCist-15, WorldCist-16, and SDIWC, and also active reviewers for 30+ reputed journals. He has conducted and led software development projects and collaborative scientific research projects with academia and industry. He is supervising many MS research students in the area of data mining and machine learning. He has authored 26+ research papers, including 13+ journal articles.
